What is Errand Up

Errand Up is the first delivery service of its kind! We are a delivery service that uses the power of TEXTING to bring you anything you want on-demand. No apps to download. No scrolling. No robots. Just pure texting awesomeness with REAL shopping professionals!

Whether you want 1 item or a whole list of items, 1 store or multiple stores, just send a text to one of our Errand Up regions. When you send in a TEXT, it automatically pings out to all of our local professional shoppers, which allows them to view your request and connect with you immediately.

How Errand Up works

  1. Text your request to one of our regions.
  2. A shopper will connect with you directly.
  3. We shop and grab your items.
  4. We deliver.
  5. We send an invoice (payment) to your email.

How do I pay for my order?

  • We send an invoice to your email after the delivery is complete.

How does it compare to other delivery services?

  • We deliver ANYTHING - not just groceries or food. Any store, restaurant or business within our radius is fair game. AND, we have the flexibility to run to multiple stores and do multiple errands/deliveries for our customers. (See exclusions below)
  • No MARKUPS. You pay what you would pay in-store. The average markup for groceries through these services is 20-25%, and sometimes as high as 40% - woah!!! No thank you, am I right?
  • No commission rates. This means that we DO NOT take a percentage of sales from the stores we shop at. Every store we shop at on your behalf keeps profits intact - we do not take from them because we DO NOT believe in taking money from businesses, especially local businesses. We are PRO business here at Errand Up - and we hope YOU are too!
  • Fully transparent. We do not like to hide things from our customers, such as receipts. Other delivery services hide receipts from customers because they don't want them to see the extremely high markup costs. Other delivery services also tag on additional fees and taxes that make no sense at all - and most of the time, they are not visible for you to see. We are fully transparent with how we do things and what we charge (see below for breakdown of EU costs).
  • Experienced shoppers. Most of our shoppers are local parents who have years of business experience prior to becoming moms & dads - so our level of customer service and communication is unmatched. And every shopper is well-versed in grocery shopping AND other shopping needs.

VIP+ Membership

  • $99/Year
  • First Hour FREE
  • Then $15/Hour Deliveries (instead of $20/Hr)
  • Year-Round 5% Costco Discount

Pay-As-You-Go

  • $20/Hour Deliveries

First-Timers

  • $10 Delivery

Nonlocal Requests

  • $50/hour plus travel, round trip
  • Deliveries outside our 10-mile radius
  • VIP+ members receive a 20% discount on hourly rate

Travel Charges, Fees, and Surcharges

Service Fee

  • A 10% Surcharge Fee will be added to every order for both members and non-members.
  • This covers the merchant payment transaction fee, as well as various other operational costs for our business.

Travel Charges outside Ten Miles

  • $0.30/Mile

How do you charge your hourly fee?

  • We start the clock the moment we head to the store for you. So we charge hourly from the moment we head to the store, to the moment we deliver your items.

  • 10 mile radius from every region location.

What DON'T you deliver?

  • We do not deliver anything illegal, such as drugs or shady packages. NO marijuana or cannabis related products.
  • We do not deliver LARGE items such as furniture or appliances. We are not a moving service and do not have access to large vehicles, or have experience moving heavy objects.

What are your delivery hours?

  • Delivery hours of operation vary from region to region.

Do you accept cash?

We do, but we prefer to take payment via invoice.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes, Errand Up is an LLC and fully insured.
